Registration and Ticketing Information
Registration for Commencement opened the week of April 1; (dates and times vary by school and degree).
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED to participate in Commencement.
Registration is required so that graduates can provide updated information that is necessary for planning purposes and ticketing. It is very important that graduates register before registration closes. Late registrations will only be accepted if space is available in their ceremony. Once a ceremony has reached capacity, the ceremony’s registration will close.
Graduates are not eligible to participate in a June ceremony if they attended a previous ceremony. Graduates that are a multiple major across different schools will chose which school ceremony they want to participate in during the registration process. The registration system will give you an option until a ceremony reaches capacity. Register early if you have a specific ceremony you would like to register for before it reaches capacity.
Ph.D., D.N.P. and M.F.A. candidates participate in the Grad Hooding Ceremony: You must register to be in the Graduate Hooding ceremony and identify a faculty hooder. Graduates participating in the Grad Hooding ceremony will be able to register for up to 10 guest tickets. Registration begins April 1 after 9 a.m.
All other graduates (Master’s and undergraduates) participate in the school ceremony: Graduates will have the opportunity to register for up to 5 tickets max for their ceremony. This number is based on occupancy limits, and additional tickets will not be available. Undergraduates will only be able to register if they have a completed graduate application on file that has been marked as received. It is important to complete this process BEFORE registration.
Each school or ceremony has a specific date and time assigned for them to BEGIN registration. Graduates can register any time between registration opening and the closing deadline. Registration is open until 5 p.m. PDT on April 12, 2024.
