Parking on the UC Irvine campus is complimentary and no permits are needed during Commencement ceremony hours for graduates and their guests. You may use any parking space designated for the Commencement ceremony except those reserved for disabled parking, service vehicles, and vehicles with “X” permits.

Traffic will be heavy so plan to arrive 90 minutes before the ceremony. UC Irvine event staff will direct traffic to the closest available parking lots. Please follow directions from event staff on-site.

Accessible Parking and Mobility Assistance Disabled/elderly parking for ceremonies held in the Bren Events Center will be located in the Mesa Parking Structure and parking lot 14A. Traffic directors will be available to guide drivers needing accessible parking.

Drop-Off Area Disabled/elderly passengers may be dropped off in designated areas near the Bren Events Center.

Do I need to reserve a disabled/elderly parking spot? No. Guests should inform the parking attendant upon arrival at the parking structure of any assistance needed. Please do not contact UC Irvine Parking & Transportation to request a disabled parking space.

405 freeway

From the North:

  • Exit at Jamboree Rd.
  • Right on Jamboree Rd.
  • Left on Campus Dr.
  • Right on Bridge/West Peltason Dr.
  • UC Irvine traffic attendants will direct you to the appropriate parking location.

 From the South:

• • Take the 405 North
  • Exit at Jeffrey/University Dr.
  • Left on Jeffrey/University Dr.
  • Left on Campus Dr.
  • Right on Bridge/West Peltason Dr.
  • UC Irvine traffic attendants will direct you to the appropriate parking location.

73 freeway / tollway

From the North:

• • Take the 73 South
  • Exit (14B) at University Dr.
  • Left on University Dr.
  • UC Irvine traffic attendants will direct you to the appropriate parking location.

From the South (toll):

• • Take the 73 North
  • Exit at Bison Ave.
  • Left on Bison Ave.
  • Right on MacArthur Blvd.
  • Exit at University Dr.
  • Right on University Dr.
  • UC Irvine traffic attendants will direct you to the appropriate parking location.

5 freeway

From the North:

• • Take the 5 South
  • Merge onto 55 South
  • Merge onto 73 South
  • Exit (14B) at University Dr.
  • Left on University Dr.
  • UC Irvine traffic attendants will direct you to the appropriate parking location.

 From the South:

• • Take 5 North 
  • Merge onto 405 North
  • Exit at Jeffrey/University Dr.
  • Left on Jeffrey/University Dr.
