Bren Events Center Seating

Guests enter the arena from the top and will take stairs down to their assigned seating. Elevators are available in the lobby for those assigned to the accessible seating area near the floor.

The arena has 2 large video boards to project live video during the ceremony and make it easy for guests to see the stage.

When graduates download their tickets in May, The Bren ticketing system will automatically assigned the 5 best seats available at that time.  It may assign 3 tickets together in a row with 2 seats together in the row directly in front of or behind the other row. This set up is best for families to be able to talk to each other before the ceremony begins. Seats may become more scattered if graduates register and download their tickets late. Seat assignments cannot be changed unless it is due to a change in guest accommodation needs. It is best to verify if guests have any accommodation needs ahead of time so that you can reserve the correct seating for them before downloading tickets. Information on accessible seating can be found below.

Graduates with reserved accessible guest seating WILL NOT download their tickets since these seats are in pre-assigned areas. Accessible seating tickets will be emailed directly to the graduate around May 21.

Special Services & Accommodations for Graduates and Guests

Accessible seating accommodations are available for graduates and their guests who use a wheelchair or have restricted mobility.

Assistive Listening Devices for guests may be checked out from the front desk of the Bren Events Center.

Animals are prohibited with the exception of Service animals.

Arrangements for these services must be made in advance by each graduate during the ticket reservation process in April.

  • The commencement office will try and accommodate late requests when available. For late requests graduates can request these services via email to the Commencement Office
  • During Commencement weekend, requests for these services must be made at the Bren Events Center box office. For your convenience, the Bren Box Office is staffed one hour prior to each ceremony. The staff of the Bren Events Center will attempt to exchange your tickets for appropriate seating, depending upon availability.
