The Bren Events Center is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all patrons. Safety protocol will include a walk-through metal detector screening along with the standard bag check policy for all attendees prior to entering the facility. Guests should plan their arrival accordingly to allow ample time for the screening process.
To expedite entrance into the venue, guests are asked to limit the amount of bags and items brought through the security process. This will help the process go quickly.
Bren Events Center
Parking on the UCI campus is complimentary and no permits are needed during Commencement day(s). You may use any legal parking space except those reserved for disabled parking, service vehicles and vehicles with “X” permits.
Traffic will be heavy so plan to arrive 90 minutes before the ceremony. Guest & Event Services will direct traffic to available parking lots.
Disabled/elderly parking for ceremonies held in the Bren Events Center will be located in the Mesa Parking Structure and parking lot 14A. Traffic directors will be available to guide drivers needing accessible parking.
Cart service will be available to and from parking lot 14A and the Bren Events Center. Cart service is limited to the disabled/elderly guest and one family member.
Drop-Off Area
For ceremonies held in the Bren Events Center, disabled/elderly passengers may be dropped off in designated areas near the facility.
Graduates and participants should anticipate heavy traffic and plan accordingly to get to their designated staging area.
Due to safety concerns, please do not drop off passengers in the middle of the road or curbside as this will increase traffic congestion.
From the North:

- UCI traffic attendants will direct you to the appropriate parking location.
From the South:
- Take the 405 North

From the North:

- Exit (14B) at University Dr.
